What are you doing to make sure this upcoming year is your best yet? If you’re like most groups, you are likely electing your leadership, picking out some songs, watching some Pentatonix videos, and hoping for the best.
Did you ever wonder what it really takes to become the best? It boils down to one thing.
Find yours. Join us at ACappellaFest on October 12 to pack in decades of experience. We promise that you’ll find your inspirations and walk away with the roadmap to achieve your goals.
Just what kinds of things can you expect throughout the festival? Like all CASA festivals, there will of course be a mind-blowing professional showcase. This year we’ve invited the polished and smooth sounds of Nashville’s Breath of Soul and the LA-based post-modern vaudeville pair, Dakaboom. Simply sit with us for a few hours and you’ll be schooled in the fine art of comedic timing, swag, and impeccable harmony.
Aside from the pros, we’ll also be offering numerous opportunities for groups to test out their stuff in a non-competitive and supportive environment. Our showcases and aca-bomb performance slots are open to all groups – high school, collegiate, and post-collegiate. Pop, gospel, barbershop, R&B, country. Whatever and however you sing, we want to hear it, because we believe that there is something for all of us to learn from each other.
Speaking of learning, we’ve got a lot to offer. This year, our curriculum was all hand-selected with one goal in mind: to help you have your best year ever. Write your best songs, sing your best solos, present your best competition sets, record your best album. Be. Your. Best.
And, as a bonus, we’ll be honoring some of the best, with the first ever live presentation of the A Cappella Community Awards. With categories selected, nominated and voted on entirely by the international a cappella community, we’ll all be there to celebrate the winners.
The ACF production staff wants to challenge you and force our attendees to push beyond their comfort zone. Be creative and try new things. Be inspired and inspire others.
To kick the year off, I leave you with some of my own inspirations from some of the talented minds and personalities you’ll get to meet and work with at ACF:
A little bit from the newly-expanded quintet, Breath of Soul. The first time I saw them live, I was moved and you will be too.
Want to rock your next solo? Veteran instructor Ariel Arbisser will be on tap to show you how to do just that:
And finally, a piece from Dakaboom. How could we go wrong with bring you a group whose debut album is entitled “Get Awesome”?
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get your year off to a great start. Get inspired at ACF!
